Encrypted backups to the owner’s Google Drive.
Citadel Backup is a private utility for keeping an additional recovery copy of selected personal files. It uses Restic to encrypt backup contents before rclone transfers them to Google Drive.
Why Google access is requested
The owner authorizes the app to create and manage its backup files in Google Drive, and to read them back for integrity checks and recovery. Access is limited to files created by or explicitly opened with this app.
For the owner’s personal use
This app is operated for one owner’s backup workflow. It does not offer public registration or a backup service for visitors. This website provides information about the app; backup operations run on the owner’s devices.
