Citadel Backup

Citadel Backup

Terms of service

Effective 8 September 2026

Citadel Backup is a utility for its owner’s personal backup workflow. This website documents the app and does not offer registration, subscriptions or backup storage to the public.

Authorized use

The app is intended to back up files the owner is entitled to store in an account they control. Google Drive access must be authorized by that account’s owner. Use of Google services remains subject to Google’s applicable terms and storage limits.

Recovery responsibility

The owner is responsible for maintaining access to the Google account, protecting the encryption password, monitoring backup results and testing recovery. Loss of the encryption password can make encrypted backups unrecoverable. This utility is one part of a broader backup arrangement.

Availability

The utility is provided as available, without a promised service level. Backup and recovery depend on the owner’s devices, network access, third-party software and Google services. No uninterrupted operation or recovery outcome is guaranteed.

Stopping use

The owner can stop backup jobs and revoke Google access at any time. Existing backups remain in Google Drive until removed by the owner. See the privacy policy for data handling and account controls.
